QA Process
The process followed by Logitate is not that one size fits all. It is always adapted to the specific needs of the customer's engineering environment. The real processes applied with different customers vary considerably, and even with a specific customer, are continuously improved.
While the diagram below illustrates the basic aspects of a default process, some key productivity facilitators are:
- The customer dashboard - providing access to the test suite definitions, the test execution status,
(almost) real time quality level ratings of the product, and access to live hosted reference QA deployments to support maintenance activities.
- A set of Minimal Acceptance Criteria (MAC) are executed to determine whether it is productive to run the entire
functional + regression test suite against the drop.
- The output of each drop testing is a "release readiness level rating" computed based on criteria specified by your management. This gives an instant idea to management about the quality of the drop in terms of its readiness for alpha, beta, staging, production deployments. Normally it is computed based on priority and severity of issues associated with that drop.
